Another anime review? Great... Ok, I don't really have a anime review just a mention, because... well because I can. The other reason is because I'm bored out of my mind...

Edit: Added pictures of the characters after their respected paragraph.

The anime starts off with two runaways looking for a live in job (same plot for He is My Master.) They fail the first day and end up camping out. The next day, the main character, Ren, helps a girl who was suffering from a sun stroke (or something of the like) and they carry her home to her place. Once there, their situation is explained and they are allowed to work there only after they pass a weeks worth of tests. They of course manage to pass, though Ren nearly fucked it up, and are then permitted to stay (that was implied... but I felt like typing it anyways.) The rest of the anime is a comedy slash getting to know everyone in the house. There are the three mistresses: Shinra, Miyu, and Yume. There are also the butlers and maids: Benisu (she's Italian, her real name is Venis), Natose, Hatone (Ren's sister), Chiharu, and The Coronal. There is of course Ren, but I already mentioned him. The only thing I can add to this is character background. And I will since I have nothing... since I've already started on this. I'll start with the easiest characters (that being the butlers, maids, and the younger sisters) and then go to the harder ones (like the Ren and Shinra.)

Chiharu: The simplest of the butlers. He is the main cleaner in the estate and is never noticed. This causes him to praise people for noticing that he exist... even if they noticed him while he was eavesdropping. Aside from this weird and socially deprived behavior, he looks like a girl... He has extremely long hair for a boy and is at the age that his voice hasn't broken. Which they make kind of noticeable by having (at least I think they did this) a female voice actor. While most of the characters have someone that they really care about... he doesn't until about episode ten (keep in mind there are only thirteen episodes) and that person ends up being one of the other maids, Benisu.

The Coronal: Aside from having a weird mustache, this character has the most muscle. Kind of understandable since he was a former mercenary. His main purpose seems to be a bodyguard, though he also drives Shinra from place to place and is the most level headed of all the characters. The only thing I can add to this is that he trained Ren to become a better butler... but that really is it.

Benisu: The main cook of the estate and she also serves under Shinra. Actually she is pretty protective of Shinra... considering that Shinra uses her as a play thing (not going to get into that now.) As mentioned before she used to live in Italy. The back story for her is kind of simple: her parents died when she was young. She was then taken in by a restaurant where she learned to cook. But due to something or another (they never said what) she was forced onto the streets where she learned to fight and steal in order to get by. She also mentioned selling her body but I don't know how credible that is. Anyways, she tried to pull one over on The Coronal and he decided to take her in so she could cook for the family. As to why The Coronal was in Italy, well that will be explained in Shinra's past. As for the relationship between Chiharu and Benisu... well that flopped. The very episode that they reveal Chiharu's feelings they also reveal that Benisu has some for Ren. So much for that...

Natose: Gardner, estate security, and also the maid for Yume. She is more often seen providing encouragement for Yume than doing her other jobs. They gave her a kind of wolf like personality... or maybe a Goku personality. Anytime there is food involved, she is sure to devour most of it. Like Benisu, she also lost her family and was taken in by the Kuonji family, Shinra, Miyu, and Yume. Natose, however, lived on a foreign island to the south of Japan (how she got to Japan... I'm sure they didn't explain.) One day, a hurricane swept through the area that they were living in, and killed her parents, little sister, and little brother. This could explain why she is protective of Yume. Also worth noting, her eye-patch is due to the same hurricane. Better way of saying it, she lost her right eye due to it. *Side note: In one of the episodes, Ren gets in Natose's way (reasons I'm not going to explain... too long) and she kness him in the stomach. While lying on the ground and desperate to prevent her from moving forward, he grabs her ankle and says something like, "it hurts Onee-san." She breaks down crying and starts to comfort him. If I was him, I'd be thinking, "I can't believe that worked."* While one of the weirder characters, she is probably my favorite one.

Hatone: Second cook of the estate, brother to Ren (as mentioned before), and also the maid to Miyu. I don't fully understand whether she is a twin to Ren or not. The one thing she does say is that she has a brother complexion... People are weird. There isn't much to her (they don't have her on screen a lot) aside from the brother complexion. She does fight a lot with Benisu and (as explained in the first episode) has forty-nine secret objects hidden on her person. Which isn't as weird as the complexion, but still weird. I'll explain more about her past in Ren's section.

Yume: One of the most... bland characters in the series. She is the youngest of the three and still in school. There isn't much to her really. She likes sweets, manga, and is kind of an airhead. She does help with the garden though. The only two things that make this character stand out are her past and her weird "YUME NOTE." The "YUME NOTE" is a parody on "DEATH NOTE" (an anime I haven't watched.) All I know is that the one episode that they mentioned it, they went on about several other anime and showed that she desires to be acknowledge for doing something. Something about self-satisfying dreams... As for her past... let's just say that she called Shinra a cold lifeless robot. The rest will be in Shinra's back story.

Miyu: Second oldest, smartest, and, of course..., the loli of the group. She has an IQ of two-hundred-forty but looks like she should be in junior high. Actually she might as well be named Sakura. Almost the exact same appearance and intelligence (actually she is smarter.) Blond pigtails, blue eyes, and, as mentioned, the build of a junior high student. This of course annoys her since Shinra treats her like a child (her age is supposed to be that of someone in their twenties.) Despite the treatment (other than being treated like a child) she receives from Shinra, she loves to tease Ren, by wondering around naked... or mostly, she's still wearing panties.

Ren: Main character, jack of trades for the estate, and also doesn't have a mistress to serve under. Instead he rotates from one to the next... or at least that was supposed to be the case. They only show him actually doing butler like things with Muyi and Shinra. Yume also complains once about it being her turn to have him serve her. Shinra manages to make a good explanation for why he was serving under him that time. Unlike his sister, he doesn't right out say he has a sister complexion. After you watch a few of the episodes you can tell. Now then, their past: As it turns out their mother is dead (I kind of figured half way through) and their father becomes an annoying drunk that beats up Ren. Thus the reason for running away. What they don't tell you is that Ren had somehow killed his mother. Ok, they do but not until the second to last episode. Aside from this, Ren also has a knack for breaking things. Like a family vase, the day before he is hired as a butler. Despite these hardships he manages to become a decent butler... until his father tracks him down. After some time his father shows up, telling them to come home.

Shinra: The oldest of the three girls, conductor, and mistress to Benisu. Not the least bit level-headed or mature... well when it comes to somethings. Conducting and as to whether or not someone is doing their job right, yeah she can be, but not all the time. On the other side, she likes to *cough* sleep with Miyu and Benisu. She says it's "a weakness for cute things." For some reason she has a weakness for pandas as well... in one episode she is given three baby pandas (live of course) as a present... and she turned into a child......(sadly, I found the scenes with the baby pandas cute, too)... this begged the question, "how safe are pandas?" Putting that aside, I'll delve into her past. Like almost everyone in this series, Shinra's parents died when she was young. Yume, who was much younger than the other two, couldn't understand why she wasn't crying and thus said that she was creepy and like a robot. Shinra was only trying to act strong, and Miyu realized that, but Shinra also held what was said against Yume. They resolve that pretty soon after they reveal the past. Sometime after the parents death, Shinra goes to Italy to study music. Thus the reason for The Coronal being there. Years later the other two, Natose and Chiharu, become a part of the family. Then Ren and Hatone barge into their lives. Shinra finally gets a concert in and her mentor, from Russia, stops by to hear it. She was hoping to get approval and the knowledge that she improved... but that didn't work out so well. Ren decides that Shinra needed to take a break from her job. She agrees and they both go out on a date. After a wonderful day, Ren fucks up by saying, "I understand a part of you now." Or something like that. Point being, he's said something to tick her off. Shortly afterwords Ren's father shows up.

I think this deserves its own paragraph. Ren's father finds him right after his fuck up with Shinra. This causes him to become blinded by hate and past memories. His father says that he'll be staying in town for a while and that they are going to go home, one way or another. He also made mention of greeting the family that has been taking care of them for so long. This causes more problems for Ren. It then starts to affect his work. The next day he ends up spilling a drink on Shinra's music. An already annoyed Shinra announces that he is to be fired. Luckily for Ren, and Hatone (she was going to quit), Shinra's sisters managed to convince her to reconsider. The next day, Ren sees his father. Ren for some reason allows him to walk all over him. He then reverts to a sniveling child and agrees to get Hatone so they can go home (Ren is seriously fucked up) but Shinra intervenes. After a drawn out conversation/beating they cut to another one of Shinra's concerts. She makes it a wonderful one (the first one was good too, or at least they imply that it was good but not to the mentor's expectations) and went off to kiss Ren for being the mental support that she needed, or the fact that she really loves him. Yay! The End.

I have this feeling that both Ren and Shinra improved their characters throughout the anime. Ren is more obvious since he is the one being followed the most. Shinra shows a bit more maturity and emotion towards the end... but I can't say a hundred percent sure. Ren, however, went from being a punk to a controlled person. He had problems throughout the anime, but in the end he showed that he was capable of restraint, both emotionally and physically.

From what I've read about how China deals with letting pandas out of their country... I can't see Shinra being able to keep the three little ones she got as a gift. Though I still question how safe it is for her to have them.

I feel like I'm missing something... Well there are the shit load of other anime references in it. Death Note, Shuffle, G Gundam, Sailor Moon, Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Gurran Lagann, Fate/Stay Night and there are bound to be more. The only two that I mentioned that wasn't directly referred to are Da Capo (Sakura) and He is My Master.

O YEAH! First episode, half way through, they have a make-shift picture of Pedo Bear! I couldn't believe it. I need to show it to Montgomery, he'll love it.
