One of my plans for Lightman (my laptop) was to use him to work on rantfest and the couple of other projects I have in mind. The thought was that if I was more portable, I would be more inclined to work on the projects elsewhere. So today, I installed Apache, MySQL, and ActiveState Perl; I grabbed the databases and code from the server; and set up Lightman to run all of the above.
After I got everything playing happy with one another, I started working. I have a lot of basic changes in mind that should help if I ever get around to making any major changes. Technically, this will help with minor changes as well, and that is far more what I am interested in. It will be interesting to see just how long this takes me.
