I just got an email from HP. They are offering free upgrades for all the computer purchases from the past six months. So it looks like I will be running Vista Home Premium on my laptop in 4-6 weeks. It will be nice to play with it on my laptop before seeing if I want to upgrade on my desktop.

Will your laptop ask you if all internet actions are ok? Or ask you three times if installations are ok?

While I find those little things as annoying as the next person, Microsoft can't play the same arrogance role Apple does. Apple is not big enough to be singled out as much as Microsoft. If Apple had the same hacker love that MS has had all these years, it would be asking annoying security questions all the time as well.

That being said, I would like a Mac for the ease of use. Sadly, by the time I get a Mac, it will probably be under the same scrutiny from the hacker community that it MS has and it won't be as enjoyable.

Lack of experience on my part.
