We sold our souls. - Misc - Site News - Twitter

The wife and I are falling more and more into the texting trend (used to be a fad, now that we are interested, it is a trend). It started off with about 4 messages sent a month so there was no reason to get a plan. Then a co-worker got ahold of my number and started texting about stuff for work so I bumped myself up to the starting plan. Of course, that got me more into it which caused me to text the wife more so we got her a stating plan. Follow that up with a greater usage of Twitter so I decided to up my plan to unlimited, but I get a discount on everything on the main line so I did an unlimted family plan instead since it was only a couple of dollars more. And it is a good thing as well...the wife sends me a lot of texts.

Now, I have a new avenue of texts I will be getting. Everytime you post on toomucheffort.com or www.writingingreen.com we get a text...Well, at least on mine. The wife is passed out and I don't know where her phone is, so I can't double check that hers is sending correctly. It should be, it was just a copy+paste with a change of phone number, I hope I got it right.

So yeah, I am becoming a slave to texting. Between Twitter, Google SMS, ChaCha, the Wife, and now rantfest, it is probably a good idea I have unlimited. I just can't help from thinking that I am almost 30, I should too old for this.

You too tired for this.

I'm not sure when the hell you posted this. Does this thing go off military time? Other then a few typos you last sentence stands out the most. Neh, I go the point.

As for texting trends and what not, I don't know I really don't care. The only really good time is for a quick statement or two, not much else. I think if you're going to spend more then five minutes texting someone you just need to call them. Have fun otherwise.

For the hours, I do military time, but the date I do year-month-day...basically so that the weight of the numbers decrease from left to right.

Dude, I'm so texting you now

I need a new phone though. And to learn how to use the whole word search feature thing (I'm sure it has a name) instead of doing the numbers. Although I'm awesome at typing words in numbers now. 555 666 555

Also? Twitter? Have not figured out the appeal yet. One of my favorite bloggers uses Twitter updates as posts now and I'm not following along so well.

I first picked up twitter because of a giveaway that someone was doing once they got so many followers. I know, not very glamorous. And while there are lot of reasons for using it, most of those reason could be done with texting, and almost all texting stuff could be done with calling.

We use it as a sort of microblogging. We can post short messages about what is going on where ever we happen to be.

Just texting

Just wanted to say that I still do not own a cell phone (proud of it too). So, this is my way to text without one. Hahaha! :p
